Obsolete CFA trucks and subsidiary equipment is sold through an Auction process conducted by Manheim Auction Group. This occurs monthly, and further information on dates of sales is available on the Manheim Auction Group website: http://www.manheim.com.au/.

How do CFA Volunteers & Staff view & purchase this equipment?

Staff and Volunteers do have first option on all Trucks available prior to Auction. Offers to Manheim Auction Group from Volunteers and Staff can be made on individual Trucks until 5 working days prior to monthly Auction.

The highest offer that meets or exceeds reserve price will be offered the Truck. All trucks or equipment not sold through this process will be put through the normal monthly Auction.

Obsolete equipment is tendered on condition that:
  • It is only used for private purposes ? i.e. private fire fighting appliance etc...
  • It can only be modified to suit a specific purpose for private use
  • It cannot be used by a brigade at any time or place
  • It cannot be reconditioned and placed in service as a fire fighting appliance for brigade use in Victoria.

How do General Public & Dealers view & purchase this equipment?

Any member of the public or Dealers can attend the monthly Auction and purchase the equipment.
