A number of CFA members, past and present, and their families have contacted CFA to register their interest in receiving regular updates and to offer information which they believe will be useful to the independent investigator Professor Robert Joy.
The Independent Investigation is up and running and we urge members with information useful to the inquiry to contact Professor Joy’s team directly on
(03) 5420 9260 between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday or email info@fiskvilleinvestigation.com.au.
The Independent Investigator has also set up a new website for this purpose www.fiskvilleinvestigation.com.au.
Information provided to us previously has been logged so that any necessary follow-up action can be taken. To ensure the independence of the investigation is maintained, we are advising those who have provided information to the project team to provide that same information direct to the Independent Investigator.
The Independent Investigator is due to report back by 31 March this year and the results of the investigation will be made public.
Those who want to register their interest to receive future updates, require help, or need advice about medical concerns, welfare support and safety at Fiskville can still contact CFA on 1800 628 616 or email fiskvilleprojectteam@cfa.vic.gov.au.
I would like to thank those people who have provided valuable feedback on how best we can support our members.
I realise that the allegations that have been levelled at past work practices and processes at Fiskville have led to personal anxiety for many of our members both past and present and their families. As I have said before, we are determined to deal with this matter properly – we owe that to our members.
