Featuring in this report is extensive coverage on Sunday night’s fire in Werribee’s main street, in which CFA Captain Michael Wells has praised firefighters for saving two banks during the blaze. The fire destroyed one of the oldest buildings in Wattons Street that was home to three businesses. State Calls To Extend Bushfire Relief Funding
The Baillieu government has called on the federal government to extend bushfire recovery funding for councils. The funding was due to expire this month.
