In mid 2009 CFA was approached by J.CAP, a fine art and limited edition memorabilia company to assist in the commissioning and production of a limited edition art piece titled Spirit of CFA.
The image painted by Jamie Cooper is his interpretation of CFA ‘through the ages’. Limited edition prints of the painting will be available for CFA members and the public to purchase through the Herald Sun and through Westpac branches from February 2010.
The prints will sell for $79.95 with CFA members receiving a discounted price of $69.95. Every CFA brigade will receive a print free to hang in their station. A copy of the print is shown below.
Westpac was approached by J.CAP to sponsor the project with all profits donated to CFA.
The Herald Sun is a project partner and will publish a number of editorial pieces on CFA members. The original oil on canvas artwork is to be hung at the Fire Services Museum in mid-February.
Brigades will be able to obtain their copies by contacting their local Westpac branch or emailing CFA on cfapromotions@cfa.vic.gov.au
For further information including advice on framing of the image please contact Corlie Powell on 9262 8767 or email c.powell@cfa.vic.gov.au
