State Forum for Community Safety Volunteers- Macedon Oct 15-16

The purpose of this email is to seek your support in promoting the first state forum for community safety volunteers over the weekend of October 15 – 16, 2011 at the Macedon Spa Conference Centre in Macedon.

This is a great opportunity to not only support and reward some of our volunteers for their great work in this area, but to also encourage the development of a bigger team of “volunteer community safety champions” around the State.


Please distribute the attached flyer to your volunteer networks and brigades via email, including any meetings you may attend such as Group meetings and Brigade events.

We will also be encouraging Regions to showcase and share at this event some of their local Community Safety initiatives.

How to register interest?

Each Region will be given the opportunity to send up to18 volunteers along with interested Regional staff members (we envisage delegates attending should be mostly volunteers, however, regional staff are more than welcome and encouraged to attend). We will then collate the list of interested members and feed that back to each Region to make the final decision and confirm attending delegates from your patch.
