Seeking nominations - EMA Volunteer Leadership Program

Good morning all,

Please find below (and attached) information regarding 2 Volunteer Leadership Programs which are open for nomination from volunteer members.

Due to the tight timeframe for meeting the first course’s closing date for nominations this advice is only being provided electronically. Please distribute this email throughout your brigade / group to ensure as wide a circulation as possible.

The attached nomination form is able to be completed electronically and can be forwarded to me at s.beatty@cfa.vic.gov.au (please ensure Shane Leversha is also copied into this email – s.leversha@cfa.vic.gov.au) prior to 1200 hours by the relevant dates indicated below.

Nominations are being sought for 2 EMA Volunteer Leadership Programs that are being coordinated through AFAC:

· Nominations for the first program close on Monday 22 February 2010
· Nominations for the second program close on Friday 16 April 2010

Unfortunately, CFA was only notified of these programs last Friday so it is unlikely that we will have sufficient time to find a nomination for the first course. However, we have more time for program 2.

Target Group
The program would suit senior volunteers in leadership positions. AFAC has been allocated 3 places on each course.

Duration and Location

The program is 3.5 days in length. The first program is being held from Thursday 16 to Monday 19 April 2010 at the Mt Macedon training facility. A second program is being held from 18 to 21 June 2010 at the same location.

A program outline and nomination form is attached. Please return completed nomination forms to me by the dates outlined above and I will forward these to AFAC. It is important that applicants include information to support their nomination on the attached form as this will be used to in the selection process.
